This rug is distinctive from the first glance. The classic Balouch rug is relatively thin loose fabric with a wool pile in a wool or cotton foundation that frequently contain some goat hair the side are usually formed of multiple selvage of dark goat hair. Sizes are small and relatively narrow. Colors are in deep blues, black, brown, rust red with occasional sites of yellow, orange, green and white for outlining.
